What is iFly Schedules?

iFly Schedules is a platform for generating and managing realistic airline flight schedules for your flight simulator. It allows you to create a schedule based on actual airline routes and aircraft types, enhancing your simulation experience.

Is the flight data live or static?

Currently, iFly Schedules uses static flight data. This means the information is not updated in real-time through an API, but is based on a comprehensive database of flight schedules.

How accurate is the flight data?

While I try to provide as accurate flight data as possible, since it's not pulled from a live API, there may be some discrepancies with current real-world schedules. The data represents typical flight patterns and is regularly updated to maintain relevance.

Are there plans to use a live API for flight data in the future?

While we're always exploring ways to improve our service, implementing a live API for real-time flight data is currently not in our immediate plans due to the significant costs involved. We're focused on enhancing our current system to provide the best possible experience with static data.

How often is the flight data updated?

Currently, I am trying to update it every couple of months. Please note that this may change.

How can I filter flights by aircraft type?

You can easily filter flights by aircraft type. Use the "Aircraft Type" dropdown menu to select a specific aircraft model or choose "Any" to view all available types.

How can I filter my flights by flight length?

The "Flight Length" slider allows you to select flights based on their duration. You can choose from various time ranges (e.g., 0-59 minutes, 1-3 hours, etc.) or select "Any" to see flights of all durations.

How do I search for flights to or from specific airports?

Enter the airport ICAO code in the "Departure ICAO" and/or "Arrival ICAO" input fields. The 'Departure ICAO' will be the starting airport of your first flight, and the 'Arrival ICAO' will be the final destination of your last flight.

How can I make sure specific airports are included in my schedule?

Use the 'Include Airport(s)' field to include specific airports that must appear somewhere in your schedule. These airports will be randomly placed within your schedule result. (Example: KMIA, KFLL, KATL)

Why are some airlines callsigns not correct? (example: easyJet & Swiss)

Due to limitations in the current data sourcing method, I'm unable to provide the correct alphanumeric callsigns for easyJet flights. I'm aware of this issue and are exploring ways to improve the accuracy of this specific airline's data in future updates.
